Composting: If everyone in the U.S. started composting, the decrease in greenhouse gas would be equivalent to removing 7.8 million cars from the road. Who says little steps don’t make a difference? If you’re not ready to take on the whole composting process yourself, see if your community or a local farm offers a pickup or drop-off service for your compostable items.
